Da Vinci sketch recreated on melting Arctic ice
Da Vinci sketch recreated on melting Arctic ice - big pictureLeonardo da Vinci's famous Vitruvian Man has been recreated by an artist in the Arctic to highlight melting ice. John Quigley, who travelled on a Greenpeace icebreaker to create the copper artwork in the Fram Strait, between Greenland and Norwegian Svalbard, said: 'We created the Melting Vitruvian Man because climate change is literally eating into the body of our civilisation'. This September could mark the lowest sea ice minimum on record
